Construction of the Obigarm to Tagikamar Road Section

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Republic of Tajikistan has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) towards the cost of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridors 2, 3, and 5 (Obigarm– Nurobod) Road Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. No nationality restrictions apply, other than any restrictions arising from the Instructions to Bidders Clause 4.7.

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of the Obigarm-Tagikamar Road Section, from Km 0+000 to Km 30+217.

The Works comprise earthworks, retaining structures, five (5) new bridges and the rehabilitation of one (1) existing bridge, two (2) tunnels in rock (total length of 3.3 km), asphaltic concrete pavements, and road furniture. The contracts period will be 1,200 calendar days.

Open competitive bidding (International advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure without nationality restrictions.
