    Item Description:

    This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 30th August 2018 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

    The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Water and Environment has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Strategic Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Construction of Dokolo Water Supply and Sanitation System.

    The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Dokolo Water Supply and Sanitation System or execution of the works described below;

    • Construction of the booster station, with storage of 500m3 (ground level), 100m3/hr at head of 100m
    • Supply, laying and commissioning of 100km transmission and distribution water pipelines 63mm- 300mm, uPVC, HDPE & Ductile Iron
    • Supply, installation and commissioning of pressed galvanised steel sectional tanks of at least 500m3 total capacity

    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ground Floor, Ministry of Water and Environment, Plot 3-7 Kabalega Crescent, Luzira.

    A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000/= (One Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings)

    The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.

    Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 11:00am on 11th March 2020 and must be accompanied by a security of USD 63,000/= (United States Dollars Sixty-Three Thousand)

    Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:15am 0n 11th March 2020 at the offices of Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ground Floor, Ministry of Water and Environment, Plot 3-7 Kabalega Crescent, Luzira.
