Provision of Automotive Batteries

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a requirement for the provision of Automotive Batteries to UNIFIL on “as and when” required basis. UNIFIL intends to establish a contract/Long Term Agreement (LTA) for one year period with an option of (1+1+1) years extensions.

Total contract period will be four years (1+1+1+1)

Batteries must have the following specifications:

• Maintenance Free Batteries (Sealed)
• Spill and Leak Proof Vibration Resistant. Should be IEC 60095-1:2018 RLV compliant or equivalent.
• Robust outer Casing. Extra-strong case, oil-resistant plastic that is molded to remain stable in extreme temperature and on rugged terrain.
• 12 Month Shelf-Life in Wet Cell State at the time of delivery. Date of manufacture must be printed or stamped on the battery.
• JIS-Japanese Industrial Standards, EN-European Norm, SAE-Standards Society of Automotive Engineers (USA), ETN-European Type Number, DIN- German Industrial Standard.

UNIFIL will undertake a competitive solicitation exercise shortly and consider inviting those companies that have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement.
