Item Description:
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified contractors to establish a contract for the supply and delivery on an as-and-when-required basis of:
- Containerized Workshop, Type A (comprised of 4x new 20’ ISO containers) including related equipment and accessories;
- Containerized Workshop, Type B (comprised of a new 20’ ISO container) including related equipment accessories.
Interested and qualified vendors will be required to submit a proposal for the design, building, and supply of the Containerized Workshops and related accessories.
An indication of the requirement is as follows:
General Container Requirements:
Seaworthy 20’ ISO Sea-Containers approved and certified to the relevant applicable standards such as:
- TIR: for transport under Customs Convention;
- CSC: International Convention for Container Safety;
- TCT: Plant quarantine aspects and procedures (Commonwealth of Australia Health Department); • UIC: International Union of Railways; and
- IICL: Institute of International Union of Containers Lessors – for damaged inspection and measured criteria.
Important note: The workshops must be suitable for electrical system 3-phase, 400V/50Hz. However, an optional additional offer for USA standard 3-phase, 220V/60Hz version (including tools) is required as well.
The self-sustained workshop units shall be equipped with a built-in generator set, electrical distribution panel, electrical system, air compressor, and compressed air distribution system and a complete set of generator workshop tools, with minimum technical characteristics, composition, and accessories that will be specified in the tender documents.
The items must be appropriate for critical, harsh environmental conditions, suitable for different climate zones in which there are several variations of the relative natural forces (e.g., temperature, humidity, wind, etc.).
All parts and components must be preferably packaged and secured inside the same 20’ ISO containers composing the workshop for transportation via road, sea, and air (via helicopters, MI8, or C130).
Delivery terms: FCA Nearest Port (as identified by the Bidder) and DAP UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy Incoterms 2010. The UNGSC reserves the right to have the items delivered on DAP UNGSC (Brindisi) or FCA (named place identified by the Bidder) terms.
Contract duration: three (3) years with the sole option of the UN to extend the term of the contract for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each, for a maximum period of five years.
Full technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing date for this REOI.
