    Item Description:

    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI)

    The African Securities Exchanges Association has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the African Exchanges Linkage Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to Procurement of the “AELP Link Technology Platform”.

    The Project includes the design and supply of the AELP Link Technology Platform to support:

    1.a) Order-routing from a stockbroker on one participating Securities Exchange to a stockbroker on another participating Exchange.
    1.b) Trade Confirmation.
    2) Market and Order-Book Data to participating Brokers.

    The African Securities Exchanges Association now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the technology platform. Interested eligible Firms/groups must complete the Standard Prequalification Document (SPQD) available in electronic form upon request from the AELP Project Office on email aelpbids@african-exchanges.org and provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to provide the services (capacity, experience in comparable assignments or providing similar services, availability of appropriate skills among staff, contacts with participating Exchanges, etc.). Please note that interest expressed by a Firm or group does not imply any obligation on the part of the ASEA or the Bank to include it as a qualified Bidder. Interested Firms may obtain further information by applying using email to the address aelpbids@african- exchanges.org.

    This assignment is only open to Firms that are eligible for African Development Bank contracts including having country of origin in a member country of the African Development Bank. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the Procurement of Goods and Works” 2008, revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

    Expressions of interest must be accompanied by completed Standard Prequalification Document (SPQD). They can be delivered by email or by hand or registered post to the address below by 8 June 2020 at 17:00 (5pm) East African Time. Submission details are specified in the SPQD.
