Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
The Government of Solomon Islands has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB. This contract will be jointly financed by the World Bank. The eligibility rules and procedures of ADB will govern the bidding process.
The Solomon Island Water Authority, trading as Solomon Water (“SW”) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of the Kongulai Water Treatment Plant and Pipeline Project. The works include a raw pipeline and pump station, a 15 ML/day treatment plant, a reservoir, ponds, a treated water pump station and pipeline and civil works to the site and access road (“the Works”).
Open Competitive Bidding (International advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
