Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Invitation for Tenders
The United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP)towards the cost of Tanzania Initiatives for Preventing Aflatoxin Contamination (TANIPAC), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for Supply, installation and Commissioning of Analytical Laboratory Equipment & Accessories for TANIPAC Project.
The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers of Analytical Laboratory equipment & Accessories. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with the Bank’s Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works.
Interested eligible Tenders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, located at the University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121from 09:00 hours – 15:30hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 3 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of one hundred thousand (TZS 100,000/=). Payment should be by Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) payable to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture,P.O. Box 2182, 40487 DODOMA, TANZANIA.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in the amount of TZS 90,000,000/= (Tanzanian Shillings Ninety Million in form of bank guarantee) or its equivalent in freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Agriculture, P.O. Box 2182, 40487 DODOMA, TANZANIA at or before 14:00hours on 14th January 2021. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121.
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
