The European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) is an EU agency for judicial cooperation in criminal matters. We are committed to transparency and informing European citizens of its activities via various communication channels.

Eurojust assists prosecutors and other investigators from EU Member States in cases of serious crime where that crime affects two or more Member States, or requires prosecution on common bases, on the basis of operations conducted and information supplied by the Member States’ authorities, by Europol, by the EPPO and by OLAF.

Eurojust acts at the request of the competent authorities of the Member States or on its own initiative. In some cases Eurojust can act at the request of the European Commission or the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Scope of contract

The scope of this contract is the provision of highly professional interpretation services (simultaneous, consecutive and whispered) in all EU official languages and Arabic during various meetings and events organised by Eurojust. Occasionally other languages might be needed, including but not limited to: Georgian, Serbian, Albanian, Macedonian, Turkish, Bosnian, Russian and Ukrainian.

Meetings and events will normally take place at Eurojust premises in Johan de Wittlaan 9 in The Hague although occasionally meetings and events will be held at other locations in the Netherlands or abroad. For meetings outside Eurojust premises, the contractor may be asked to provide the equipment described in section 5.3 of the Technical Specifications (optional requirement).

Additionally, the contractor shall be able to offer remote interpretation services. Under remote interpretation interpreters do not have a direct view of the room nor immediate contact with the organisers and join the event via video or teleconference through a secure platform provided by Eurojust, currently CISCO Jabber.
