Provision for Social Cohesion with Media

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1951 and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and society.

In the framework of Social Cohesion with Media, IOM now invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Companies/Service Providers for the following services:

1. Support the transition of the management of existing Citizen Journalist Facebook and other platforms that were established under the IOM programme so that Iraqi Citizen Journalists will be fully in charge of the management while ensuring the sustainability and transparency of the management. Provide necessary training and assistance for the key Citizen Journalists to manage this page by themselves (From April to December).

2. Develop materials on Media Literacy that is appropriate for people who cannot read and write/not attended primary school. The materials will be used by IOM staff during the activities. Materials should reflect social diversity in Iraq (such as representing gender diversity, ethnoreligious and cultural diversity in Iraq in drawings. (From April to May).

3. Understanding and mitigating Cyber Attach (by December 2021)

a. Conduct research on the current situation of cyber attacks against young people (in particular women and girls) in West Mosul
b. Develop materials on how to 1) mitigate the risk of exposing themselves to such risk, 2) how to respond and report when they face such attacks, and 3) campaign material to give an awareness on the mitigation and responses.

4. Mainstreaming media literacy within Universities: develop cooperation with Universities of selected two or three locations to mainstream media literacy sessions at the universities. (by December 2021).

The Expression of Interest shall contain information on the following a.) range of relevant services offered, b.) qualification and experience of relevant professionals and technical personnel currently maintained c.) track record and experience of the firm in similar assignment including list of major clients served and d.) other relevant information.

The Expression of Interest shall be submitted in original and duplicate copy and should be received through e-mail by IOM at IRAQCFPCSO@iom.int no later than 8 March 2021 at 17:00 Iraq Time.
