Design, Supply and Installation of Cold Storage Facilities

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

The Republic of Sudan has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Design, Supply and Installation of Cold Storage Facilities. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.

The Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP) now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and installation of cold storage facilities for potato seed at Ministry of Agriculture Farm, Northern of Umm Baddah locality, 22 km on Omdurman-Dongola road.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015”, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Policy.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Building No. (171), Southern the Secretariat of North Kordofan Government, Directorate Area, Elobied City, North Kordofan State, Sudan and inspect the Bidding Document during office hours Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sudan local time at the address given below.

The Bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 100 (One Hundred United States Dollar). The method of payment will be in cash only. The document will be sent by courier or by hand-delivery.
