Design, Supply and Installation of 220/110/30kV, 75/93.8 MVA, ONAN/ONAF Autotransformer and Control and Protection Equipment for Bugesera Substation

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue of 21st August 2010.

The Government of Rwanda has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of Regional Rusumo Falls Hydropower Project: Transmission Line Component and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for Design, Supply and Installation of 220/110/30kV, 75/93.8 MVA, ONAN/ONAF Autotransformer and Control and Protection Equipment for Bugesera Substation.

Energy Development Corporation Ltd (EDCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the tender to Supply of 220/110/30kV, 75/93.8 MVA, ONAN/ONAF Autotransformer and Control and Protection Equipment for Bugesera Substation.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and, May 2008 edition revised July 2012.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the NPIU Procurement specialist, e-mail: gumushashi@edcl.reg.rw and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 08 00 to 17 00 hours local time.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on to the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Thirty US Dollars (USD 30) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency deposited to the account n° n° 1000027808 opened at the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR).

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 AM local time (8:00 AM GMT) on 07 September 2020 and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Twenty Thousand United States Dollars (USD 20, 000) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
