The European Commission is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

The European Commission, DG for Structural Reform Support (REFORM) is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure for the Supply of Equipment and Consumables to Support Health, Food Safety and Crisis Preparedness. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their respective annexes. Objective of the contract

The Supply of laboratory tests, consumables and emergency field equipment and material, will contribute improved capacities of Turkish Cypriot (TC) veterinary services to timely detect and eliminate priority and exotic animal diseases. This will further contribute to the reduction of the negative impact of animal diseases on farmers income and local economy overall.The requested action is referred to in Chapter 1.3.3. ‘Animal disease crisis preparedness and improvement of health and food safety standards’ (Objective 2 of the Aid Regulation i.e. promotion of social and economic development) of the Annex to the Action Programme for the TC community for the year 2018.
