Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment Program – Tranche 1. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC, “the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the “Procurement of Goods – Transmission Line Material for 220 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line on Twin Bundle ACSR “Rail” conductor from 500/220 kV Faisalabad Grid Station to 220 kV Lalian Grid Station (approx. 56 km)”.
The material shall be procured in six (6) lots.
Tower manufacturer will prepare detailed models of each type of tower with BOCAD or equivalent software, from the erection/outline drawings provided by NTDC. After obtaining approval of this model from NTDC, the manufacturer will prepare drawings for above items for mass fabrications and again submit these drawings to NTDC for approval.
Bidders may submit their bid for one lot or any combination of lots. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
The delivery period is 180 days for CIF (Karachi) / EXW Pakistan (excluding 20 days for inland transportation in case of Ex-Works delivery for goods supplied from within Pakistan) contracts respectively from the date of signing of contract.
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the ADB’s Single Stage-One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all eligible Bidders as described in the Bidding Document.
