Provision of Medical Diagnostic Services for UNAMID Beneficiaries

The African Union-United Nations Operations in Darfur (UNAMID) seeks Expression of Interest for the provision of medical diagnostics services for is beneficiares located in El Fasher, Darfur, Sudan.

UNAMID seeks services from qualified servcie providers with a proven track record of at least one (1) year in providing medical diagnostics services to support its operational requirements on an “as and when required” basis.

Scope of Services:
The Services shall be provided to all UNAMID civilian staff, Military & Civilian Police (Uniformed components) upon a Referral Note issued by UNAMID Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

The Service Provider shall be required to provide services to individual UNAMID civilian personnel, and payment for services shall be through individual staff member’s medical insurance s such as CIGNA, AETNA among others, in accordance with the service provider’s policy.

The Service Provider shall be responsible for providing all the necessary labour, equipment, medical materials, and making all the required arrangements to ensure its obligations contract for its entire duration.

Services Required:

Basic laboratory services
Complete Haematology examination
Basic urine examination
Stool examination
Blood chemistry panel including liver and renal profile
Basic immunologic tests such as VDRL, Elisa, D-dimer, and ferritin X-ray
Conventional X-ray of body parts
Panoramic X-ray
Ultrasound
Basic ultrasound of body parts
Doppler ultrasound
Prostate problems

Laboratory Services:
The Service Provider shall provide routine laboratory services that comply with accepted international standards, an advanced medical laboratory and a radio diagnostics practices. The Laboratory facilities are to be made available on a 24-hour basis.

The Service Provider shall the following services, but not limited to biochemistry tests; liver function, kidney function, pancreas enzymes, cardiac enzymes, haematology, blood grouping cross-match, blood gas analysis, routine urine tests, microbiology, including cultures and microscopy, malaria screening, pregnancy testing and HIV testing.

All laboratory equipment shall be calibrated and maintained periodically, based on the policy and guidelines set by the manufacturers.

Radiology Services:
The Service Provider shall provide radiology services in accordance with acceptable international standards, including modern imaging technologies (Fluoroscopic imaging, CAT-SCAN, MRI etc.).
