Item Description:
The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably-qualified companies with required expertise and experience for the supply of Electrical materials packages, components and accessories to UN entities located worldwide.
The scope of services will include:
- Supply of the Electrical Materials, components and accessories, including Medium Voltage Equipment, Low Voltage Precabled Switchboards, Low Voltage Cables, Cable Ducts and Trunking System, Internal Lights and Switches, Power Sockets, HVAC Systems, Lighting Poles and Fixtures, in line with the expected general requirements and technical specifications;
- Export packaging and shipment of the Electrical Materials, components and accessories into standard 20’ ISO Sea Containers.
The selected Vendor must supply the required equipment with all necessary fittings, connections and accessories that are necessary to perform a complete and duly working installation.
The UN must be able to install and commission the systems using only items and materials included in the systems contract main items.
The supplied equipment must be appropriate for use in harsh environmental conditions and suitable for different climate zones (e.g. desert, tropical areas, mountain sites, etc.) in which there are several variations of the relative natural forces (e.g. temperature, humidity, wind, and other climatic conditions).
The UN expects its vendors to demonstrate effective environmental controls and to comply with relevant legislation and regulations regarding the protection of the environment, labour, and human rights. As such, the UN reserves the right to refuse to enter into or cease doing, business with contractors that have proven records of misconduct in their environmental or/and social practices.
The supplied equipment must be designed and manufactured in accordance with the relevant current international or national codes. If equivalent codes are utilized in lieu of the referenced codes, then the Bidders must substantiate the differences between the codes.
Potential bidders interested in providing the above services are invited to submit an EOI, by completing the accompanying Vendor Response Form either online or manually.
Please note that this is not an invitation for submission of proposals. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued and if invited to the solicitation by UNPD.
