Procurement of Construction for Expansion of sewer network in Karakol

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Kyrgyz Republic has received financing from ADB toward the cost of Issyk-Kul Wastewater Management Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Department of Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage Development under the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Public Utilities under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic (the “Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction for Expansion of sewer network in Karakol.

The bidding covers two (2) lots:

• Lot 1: “Southern”: “Construction of a sewerage network (total length 6.71 km)
  • Site No. 1 – Akhunbaeva st. from Lenin st. to Moskovskaya st.
  • Site No. 2 – Duisheeva st. from Dzhusayev st. to Moskovskaya st.
  • Site No. 3 – Moskovskaya st. from Akhunbaev st. to Oktyabrskaya st.
• Lot 2: ” North”: “Construction of a sewerage network (total length 5.94 km)
• • Site No. 4 – Oktyabrskaya st. from Gebze st. to Kuchukov st.
  • Site No. 5 – Dzhusayev st. from Przhevalsky street to Shorukov st.

The Bidders can bid for any single lot, or a combination of lots, and consequently the Employer will evaluate and compare bids on the basis of a lot, or a combination of lots, or as a total of lots to arrive at the least cost combination for the Employer by taking into account discounts offered by Bidders in case of award of multiple contracts.

The contract is expected to be completed within 18 month plus Defect Notification Period of 365 days.
