    Item Description:

    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Request for Expressions of interest [REOI]

    The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received a credit from the AFDB towards the cost for the Ebonyi State Ring Road Project in Ebonyi State and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for the Environmental and Safety Services of the Ebonyi State Ring Road Project.

    The Ebonyi State Ring Road Project Objective is to contribute to socio-economic development, poverty reduction through improved road transport infrastructure to reduce road maintenance costs, vehicle operating cost and travel time.

    The Specific Objectives of the Consultancy Services are as follows

    (i)  To undertake environmental and socio-economic baseline studies and data collection and prepare a detailed pre-project situational analysis.

    (ii)  To Monitor the Implementation of the approved Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).

    (iii)  To Monitor the implementation of approved Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).

    (iv)  To undertake external evaluation on the performance of approved ESMP and RAP; and

    (v)  To undertake capacity building.

    The Ebonyi State Ring Road Project now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
