The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Government of India has applied for financial assistance from the ADB towards the cost of Chennai Metro Rail Investment Project – Tranche 1. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract stated above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (“the Employer”) invites digitally signed open e- tender through e-procurement portal from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of the following work: Construction of Elevated Viaduct (approximate Length of 10 km), Nine (9) Elevated Metro Stations at Sholinganallur Lake-I, Sri Ponniamman Temple (Sholinganallur Lake-II), Sathyabama University (Semmeancheri-I), Semmeancheri-II, Gandhi Nagar, Navallur, Siruseri, Siruseri SIPCOT-1 and Siruseri SIPCOT-2 and Stabling Viaduct at SIPCOT.
Bid validity is 120 days beyond the bid submission.
Open Competitive Bidding (International Advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: Two-Envelope envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
