Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the ADB towards the cost of South-Asia Sub-regional Economic Cooperation Dhaka– Sylhet Corridor Road Investment Project, and part of the proceeds of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Roads and Highways Department (RHD), the Employer and the Implementing Agency, under Road Transport and Highways Division, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges (MoRTB), the Executing Authority, invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for LOT No. DS-7 and LOT No. DS-8 of Package No. WP-4. Eligible bidders can submit bids for one of the lots or both lots.
Completion time of the works from the commencement date for each LOT is 1460 days. Completion time for the Maintenance Phase works (Performance Based Maintenance works) from the end of defect notification period for each Lot is 2190 days.
Open Competitive Bidding (International Advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB as described in the Bidding Documents.
