Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has applied for financing from the ADB toward the cost of Second Power Transmission Enhancement Investment Program – Tranche 4. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC, “the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the “Procurement of Goods – 500kV Double Circuit Quad Bundle Transmission Line from Sangal to 500kV Maira Switching Station (approx. 83km), using ACSR “Bunting” Conductor.
The material shall be procured in six (06) lots:
- Lot-I: 500kV Transmission Line Steel Towers Conductor & Shield Wire (Quantity: 312 Nos.)
- Lot-II: Conductor (Quantity 2730 km) & Shield Wire (Quantity: 120 km)
- Lot-III: OPGW with Accessories (Quantity: 125km)
- Lot-IV: Insulator Hardware Assemblies and Accessories (Quantity: Lot*)
- Lot-V: Dampers (Quantity: Lot*)
- Lot-VI: Grounding Material (Quantity: Lot*)
*The quantities of the above lots shall be as per the respective Price Schedule. Bidders may submit their bid for one lot or any combination of lots.
Open Competitive Bidding (International advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with the ADB’s Single Stage – One Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
