The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Solar Photovoltaic Pumping for Agricultural Irrigation (SPPAI) Project of BREB under Power System Efficiency Improvement Project- Additional Financing of Asian Development Bank (ADB). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB, “the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders from eligible source countries for the Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Grid Integration of Solar Irrigation Pumps (“the Plant”) under Package No. SPIP-W-7.
International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure for Plants and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.
