Prequalification in the bidding for ADB General Construction Works

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), a multilateral development finance institution headquartered in Manila, Philippines, invites interested parties to apply for prequalification in the bidding for ADB General Construction Works.

The Instructions to Applicants for Prequalification included in this invitation are available until 16 November 2020.

This invitation is open to firms who meet the minimum requirements specified in the prequalification documents, including among others:

(i)  have the nationality of eligible country in accordance with the List of ADB Eligible Member Countries. The Construction Firm shall be deemed to have the nationality of a country if the Construction Firm is a citizen, or is constituted, or incorporated, and operates in conformity with the provisions of the Laws of that country for a minimum of ten (10) years;

(ii)  have been in the construction business for a minimum of ten (10) years, and with a valid PCAB license with at least Category “B” General Engineering/General Building;

(iii)  have not been sanctioned nor be ineligible to enter into transactions with ADB or any other multilateral development bank or institution;

(iv)  Have a sound financial and credit position i.e. positive net worth and a Net Financial Contracting Capacity (NFCC) of a minimum of $500,000;

(v)  have no pending litigations that represent more than fifty percent (50%) of its net worth;

(vi)  have experience of at least ten (10) construction projects, over the last 5 years, locally and/or abroad; and

(vii)  past performance of services at ADB (if applicable) or on ADB funded projects (if applicable) will be taken into consideration

Applications should reach ADB not later than 5:00 P.M. on 17 November 2020. The Application should be emailed to iprocurement@adb.org (see PQ documents for details related to submission of Applications). Late applications shall be rejected by ADB.

This Invitation does not entail any commitment on the part of ADB, either financial or otherwise. All costs associated with the preparation and submission of the Application shall be borne solely by the Applicant.
