Construction of Guardrails

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

The Government of the Republic of Namibia has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the TIIP – Construction of Trunk Road 9/1 from Windhoek to Hosea Kutako International Airport to Dual-Carriage Freeway standards: Phase 2A – Sam Nujoma Interchange to Dordabis Interchange (19.5Km) – Auxiliary Works, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for RA/DC-CR/06-2014/2A – Lot 5 – Guideblocks and Guardrails.

The Roads Authority now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of Guardrails on the above-named project.

Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), OCBN procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework; and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
