Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 2 (Pap- Namangan-Andijan) Railway Electrification Project-Additional Financing. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Joint-Stock Company “O’zbekiston Temir Yo’llari” (the “Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Goods Machinery and Equipment for Railway Maintenance (Contract AAX-02 Goods), comprising four (4) divisible lots (the “Goods”):
- Lot 1: Draisine for maintenance of catenary
- Lot 2: Railroad machine for maintenance of catenary
- Lot 3: Rail mounted draisine for maintenance of signaling and telecom
- Lot 4: Equipment for depot
Bidders may bid for one or both lots, as defined in the Bidding Document.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.
