Item Description:
The African Development Bank (AfDB) is a Multilateral Development Institution established by Agreement, and among its member states, for the purpose of contributing to the sustainable economic development and social progress of its Regional Member Countries (RMCs) in Africa. It has 81 member countries including the 54 African countries and 27 non-African countries.
Invitation for Bids [IFB]
The Government of Rwanda has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Rwanda Sustainable Water and Sanitation Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the Construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants and Landfills for Musanze, Karongi, Rubavu and Rusizi Towns. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method as defined in the Bank’s Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.
The Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants and Landfills for Musanze, Karongi, Rubavu and Rusizi Towns. The tender is divided into three lots as follows:
- Lot 1: Construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant and Landfill for Musanze Town, Northern Province, Rwanda
- Lot 2: Construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants and Landfills for Rubavu Town, Western Province, Rwanda
- Lot 3: Construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants and Landfills for Karongi & Rusizi Towns, Western Province, Rwanda
Bids are invited for individual lots. Bidders have the option to bid for any one or more lots. These works will be executed within 12 months. The margin of preference is not applicable.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI method and procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
