    Item Description:

    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Request for Expressions of interest (EOI)

    The Republic of Zimbabwe has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the Institutional Support for Governance and Public Finance Management Project (GPFM). The Government of Zimbabwe intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the provision of External Audit Services.

    The objective of the audit is to enable the auditors to express an independent professional opinion on the financial position of the Project managed by the PMU and financed by the African Development Fund (Institutional Support for Governance and Public Finance Management Project) and to ensure that the funds granted to the Projects have been used for their intended purposes with due care to economy and efficiency.

    The Government of Zimbabwe through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

    Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” October, 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
