EOI – Uganda – Consultancy services for undertaking Road Safety Audits for the Upgrading of the Kigumba-Bulima-Kabwoya Road (135Km)

Item Description:

1. The Government of Uganda (GoU) has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the Road Sector Support Project 4 (RSSP4), and intends to apply part of the agreed loan proceeds to payments under the contract for Consultancy services for undertaking Road Safety Audits for the Upgrading of the Kigumba-Bulima-Kabwoya Road (135Km)

2. The Main Objective of the assignment is to:-

– Carry out road safety audits at design review stage, substantial completion (pre-opening) and post construction stages;
– Carry out road safety awareness and sensitization to road users during and after completion of Kigumba-Bulima-Kabwoya Road (135km): Lot 1- Kigumba-Bulima Road (69km), Lot 2-Bulima-Kabwoya Road (66km) works; and
– Identify any road safety deficiencies and recommend possible solutions.

3. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) now invites consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
