Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the ADB towards the cost of Science and Technology Human Resource Development (STHRD) Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is opened to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee (MPC) on behalf of the Project Director, Science and Technology Human Resource Development (STHRD) Project (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Design and Construction of Proposed Building Complex to Establish Laboratories for the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry for the Faculty of Medicine, University of Moratuwa (STHRD/PMU/UOM-CW) (“the Works”). This procurement comprises design and construction of various learning spaces including lecture rooms and laboratories as well as administrative facilities totaling to approximate floor area 2,500 m2 (ground floor + 5 floors).
Open Competitive Bidding (national advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is opened to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
