The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids [IFB]
The Government of Rwanda has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Rwanda Sustainable Water and Sanitation Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the construction of volcano belt water supply system (Phase I). For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method as defined in the Bank’s Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.
The Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of volcano belt water supply system (Phase I). These works will be executed within 18 months in some sectors of Musanze, Nyabihu and Rubavu Districts located in Northern and Western Province of Rwanda.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI method and procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
