Provision of Maintenance and Operational Services for Electrical and HVAC Equipment for 18 MONUSCO premises in D.R. Congo

Item Description:

The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) has a requirement for the Maintenance and Operations of Electrical Network and HVAC Services in Kinshasa, Goma, Kalemie, Beni, Lubumbashi, Bunia, Bukavu, Dungu, Uvira, Kisangani, Matadi, Bandudndu, Kananga, Kamina, Mbandaka, Bandundu, Chikapa and Kindu, DR Congo. It is being planned to outsource this requirement that includes: a) Seek qualified Contractors to provide qualified skilled work force for Electrical Maintenance Services and HVAC Maintenance Services and supervision of such workforce in the above-mentioned locations. b) Service Provider that has qualified and experienced technicians who can install, diagnose faults which may take place every day on the electrical and HVAC system, request the necessary materials and carry out the installation and maintenance/repair works using the right tools and equipment and according to standards and best practices. c) The Contractor shall be responsible for providing the required tools and equipment to carry out the Electrical and HVAC Maintenance Services. In addition to that the Contractor might be requested to provide the electrical and HVAC materials, when required. d) The Contractor shall carry out all administrative and supervisory functions necessary to ensure fulfilment of its obligations under the above service categories in accordance with the Contract. e) The Contractor is required to provide with due diligence, accuracy, care, discretion, and the highest level of services. 2. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration preferably for level 2 on the vendor database accessible on ungm.org. 3. The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are authorized to undertake business in DRC. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response: – Copy of the registration certificate / license(s) of the company 4. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid 5. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (RFP) documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the deadline indicated below. 6.
