Turn-Key Project for the Provision of Containerized Office and Accommodation Facilities in Somalia

The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified companies for the provision of mdoified containnerized office and accommodation facilities with overhead protection in Mogadishu International Airport(MIA).

UNSOS has a requirement for the provision of containerized office and accommodation facilities with overhead protection (OHP) within its Mogadishu International Airport Camp in Somalia. The requirement is a Turnkey Project and shall include Design Works; Production and showcasing prototypes; Site Preparations & foundation works; Supply, fabrication/modification, delivery and installation of 20 FT ISO Sea Containers complete with electrical, plumbing & IT fixtures & fittings; supply, fabrication, delivery and installation modularized staircase systems; Supply of empty 20’ FT ISO Sea containers to be filled with sandbags and installed as overhead protection; supply, delivery and installation of firefighting and suppression system.

It’s estimated the project will involve 240 modified and 200 empty ISO 20FT Sea Containers installed in 5 different sites with MIA. All materials and workmanship shall meet relevant international standards, technical specifications and comply with most current industry best practices. Bidders will be required to demonstrate competence and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in delivering turnkey projects involving off-site modification of prefabrication units and installation works in remote and difficult environment like Somalia.

The project sites shall be in-between established and operational camps and as such bidders to consider and plan for tight spaces for project implementation. Furthermore, utmost care shall be taken to ensure no or minimal disruptions to ongoing activities within the camp.
