Urban Planning and Development Project Services for UN Habitat Afghanistan Programme

Item Description:

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is a United Nations agency mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable communities, towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. To support its operations in Afghanistan and facilitate effective implementation of its projects, UN-Habitat Afghanistan Programme requires the services of a qualified company to provide services to assist in effectively delivering UN-Habitat programme and projects in Afghanistan (“Services”) through the qualified and experienced workforce. All the projects are located in different cities across Afghanistan.   The selected contractor shall be required to implement each project under the guidance of UN Habitat and in accordance with the desired project activities and achieve the targeted projects output/outcome. The companies, therefore, need to have the capacity to lead and manage the projects through its experienced and skilled workforce. The workforces may be deployed through small projects under specific goals and outcomes and measured against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The projects/ tasks may be assigned, but not limited to, the following areas: – Community Development – Engineering Services – Trainings development and delivery – Project and Construction Management – Essential Services Delivery – Governance and administration – Urban Development – Feasibility Studies and Impact Assessment – Data Collection and research – Operations Support – External and Internal communications The selected contractor shall be responsible to manage its own staffing engaged in the project. The estimated start date of the Contract is 01 October 2018. The initial term of the contract shall be for three(3) years. Upon successful performance of the initial term, the contract term may be exended for two one-year term up to a maximum of 5 years (3+1+1).
