Provision of Claim Handling Services For Employer’s Liability Insurance Plan

Item Description:

The purpose of this request for proposal (RFP) is to select a qualified and experienced Third Party Administrators for handling, administering and settling claims related to the IFAD Employer’s Liability Insurance Plans. The services IFAD is seeking, shall be about claims regarding Employer’s Liability Plans as described below:

Plan Components

The Employers’ Liability Insurance Plan is divided into three components, as summarised below and detailed in ANNEX 1 and 3:

• Plan Component 1: Staff Compensation Plan (SCP) for Staff on fixed term and continuing/indefinite contracts. The SCP plan component is to cover for compensation and other benefits in the event of service-related illness, injury or death.
• Plan Component 2: Medical Insurance and Compensation Plan (MICSC) for Staff on short-term contracts and Consultants. The MICSC plan component is to cover a) both service-related and non-service-related medical liabilities and b) to cover liabilities such as service-related injury, illness and death.
• Plan Component 3: Compensation Plan for Non-Staff other than consultants (NSCP). The NSCP plan component is to cover the liabilities of service-related death and permanent disability, for Non-Staff other than consultants.

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), is a Specialised Agency of the United Nations with its Headquarters (HQ) situated in Rome. IFAD also has offices in 40 countries (IFAD Country Office, ICOs).
