Provision of construction, operation and maintenance services for MONUSCO site in Bandundui, DR Congo.

The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the Provision of construction, operation and maintenance services for MONUSCO site in Bandundu, DR Congo.

Requirement:

The contractor shall be responsible to provide the construction services works in the indicated location as and when required by MONUSCO. In this regard, it should be noted that the contract shall be task order based.

The required services are detailed in the bill of quantities but generally compromise of:

1. Maintenance and/or repair services;
2. New construction services;
3. Emergency response or day work services.

The required works includes various constructions of different sized elements.

The contractor is required to provide the following for the execution of services described under the bill of Quantity and scope of work.

1. Manpower of different trades;
2. Tools (mason level, pick axes, wheel barrows, shovels, chisels, level machine, trowels, mason ropes, cutting tools, plum bob, hammers, saws, measuring tapes, claws, step ladder, drill machines, and others, all complete set as described in Appendix J);

In addition to the services stated above, MONUSCO requires emergency response or day work services on an “as and when required” basis to satisfy its surge requirements. The contractor is required to provide work forces and tools to execute the day work services listed below:

Carpentry, masonry , painting, welding and steel works, prefab assembling and installation, general support services, plumbing and sanitary works, electrical and HVAC, maintenance and installation of generators, road and airfield repair and maintenance services, heavy duty vehicle and/or equipment operating services, office assistance Services, architectural / civil engineering services, construction site supervision services, construction equipment support services,

MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly for a local open ended contract and accordingly intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their abilitity to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on ungm.org (new vendor only). A detail Scope of Requirement (SOW) will be provided to companies short listed for receipt of the (RFP) documents.

The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are authorized to undertake business in DRC. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response.

– Copy of the registration certificate/license (s) of the company.

MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of peformance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (RFP) documents MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI’s received after the deadline indicated below.
