Provision of passenger and cargo handling services in DRC and Entebbe, Uganda

MONUSCO seeks to establish a contract for the provision of cargo and passenger handling services in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The task includes loading and offloading and proper handling of passengers, baggage and cargo at MOVCON stations in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.

The contract shall be for an initial period of one (01) year with the option to extend for two (2) more additional years thereafter to a maximum of three (03) (1 +1+1 = 3 years) at the sole discretion of MONUSCO.

The primary focus of any resultant contract will be the provision of loading and offloading and proper handling of passengers, baggage and cargo at MOVCON stations within the described regions in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.

The Contractor(s) are required to provide with due diligence, accuracy, care and discretion, the highest level of services in accordance with the specification and description of tasks stated in this Statement of Work and in line with the United Nations minimum standards.

MONUSCO maintains its own infrastructure facilities and equipment such as work place/office accommodation, passenger buses, special auxiliary equipment (MHE etc) for aircraft ground handling & trucking operations, IT eg, computers & radios, scales for cargo and passenger baggage weighing etc.; this will be provided to the contractor(s) for their use in the execution of the contract. Provision of personal protection equipment, vehicular transport to/from the place of work for the contractor’s personnel is the contractor’s responsibility.
