CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Important: The purpose of this call for EOI is to identify appropriate suppliers who can potentially fulfil the requirements. The present call for EOI does not constitute an invitation to tender. Only suppliers deemed qualified by ITC will receive the invitation to tender.

Terms of Reference (summary):

ITC will be assisting the Government of Sri Lanka in:

Developing a National Export Strategy (NES) aimed at developing trade competitiveness of key productive economic sectors;
Formulating and implementing informed trade policy/negotiations through enhanced capacity of governmental officers as well as public-private consultations
Support in the design and implementation of quality & standards related solutions
For this purpose, ITC will contract a service provider to facilitate project-related activities in the country, such as data collection, event organisation, stakeholder mobilisation, hire and management of local consultants.

The service provider must satisfy the following criteria:

A consulting/research and advisory service oriented company or organisation with significant expertise in area of trade, economic and private sector development,
Operational capability to coordinate project activities on the ground (in Sri Lanka), manage a sizeable technical scope of work, as well as logistical and administrative capabilities.
Proven track record and credentials in managing technical projects, a reputation for conducting responsible business and experience working with international organizations and development partners.

Widespread network (or capability to develop one) of local consultants with various sector expertise and/or generalist consulting experience.
Convening power to mobilize a wide (multi-sector, public/private) stakeholder base across the country.
