Item Description:
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank with a mission to improve social and economic outcomes in Asia. Headquartered in Beijing, the AIIB began operations in January 2016 and have now grown to 103 approved members worldwide. By investing in sustainable infrastructure and other productive sectors in Asia and beyond, the AIIB will better connect people, services and markets that over time will impact the lives of billions and build a better future.
Invitation for Bid
After AIIB moved to its permanent HQ on June 1, 2020, several areas of improvement were identified through post-occupancy survey and staff feedback.
In the post occupancy survey, staff raised concerns that the current office is lacking a cross-team collaboration area. Although the collaboration within the business function has been improved; the cross-team collaboration was very difficult given the size of the building and complicated vertical and horizontal transportation system within the building.
In the meanwhile, the space utilization study revealed that the utilization of sky gardens is very low. It was identified that the 9F sky garden provides an opportunity to create a cross-team collaboration area. The project aims to convert existing 9F sky garden to a multi-functional collaboration area that caters the needs of meetings, cultural events, collaboration, breakout and recharge.
