The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Government of the Solomon Islands has received financing from the ADB and World Bank (WB) toward the cost for the Kongulai Water Treatment Plant and Pipeline Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Solomon Island Water Authority, trading as Solomon Water (“SW’) (‘the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of the the Kongulai WaterTreatment Plant and Pipeline Project. The works include a raw pipeline and pump station, a 15ML/day treatment plant, a reservoir, ponds, a treated water pump station and pipeline and civil works to the site and access road (“the Works”).
Open competitive bidding-International (OCB) will be conducted using the Single- Stage: One-Envelope (1S1E) bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
