The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Request for Expressions of interest [REOI]
The Ministry of Education, State Department of Vocational and Technical Training has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Support to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for relevant skills development project (TVET phase II project), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this loan to payments under the contract for a consulting firms to develop a national TVET ODeL learning management system (LMS) at Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC) under the project.
The services included under this project are:
- To Conduct an assessment of the existing National TVET ODeL LMS at KTTC
- To Map out hardware, software and HR requirements of the National TVET ODeL LMS
- To provide detailed requirements for hardware and software to upgrade the National TVET ODeL LMS
- To Capacity build staff on use and maintenance of the National TVET ODeL LMS To Test and Commission the National TVET ODeL LMS
- To Develop user and maintenance manuals for the upgraded National TVET ODeL LMS
- To Provide for 24 months of after sales service for the National TVET ODeL LMS
The Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the above consultancy service.
Interested consulting firms must provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. Consulting firms may associate with other consultants/firms to enhance their qualifications, but should clearly indicate whether the association is in form of a joint venture and or a sub- consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
