Design, Supply, and Installation of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Networks, Customer Connections and Street Lights in Rural Areas in Liberia

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 20 December, 2013 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Design, Supply, and Installation of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Networks, Customer Connections and Street Lights in Rural Areas in Liberia. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract LEC/CLSG-RE/ICB/01/19.

The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the or execution of the works; Design, Supply, and Installation of Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Networks, Customer Connections and Street Lights in Rural Areas in Liberia.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the offices indicated below, on working days from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm GMT).

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Three Hundred United States Dollars (USD 300.00). The method of payment will be by Bankers Check in favor of LEC or paid in cash to the Finance Office, 1st Floor, LEC Central Office. Alternatively, a direct payment into Liberia Electricity Corporation Cash EPP No: 0011134701652405, (Swift Code No. ECOCLRLM) held with ECOBANK LIBERIA LTD and submitting the payment advice as evidence to collect the Bid Documents. An additional amount will be charged for deliveries by courier.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Plant Design, Supply, and Installation.

Bids must be delivered to the below office on or before 10.00am GMT on May 3, 2019 and must be accompanied by a Bid security of USD 500,000.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10.00 am GMT on May 3, 2019 at the Conference room of Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), Waterside, 1000 Monrovia, Liberia.
