    The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).

    Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI)

    The government of the Republic of Sudan has received a grant financing from the African Development Bank on behalf of the Transition Support Facility (TSF) toward the cost of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the design and construction supervision of market access roads.

    The services under this project include the design and subsequent construction supervision of feeder/market access roads (gravel level) at seven (7) sites at a total distance of 266 Km in North Kordofan and West Kordofan States to render safe, suitable, efficient, easy and fast movement of people and goods.

    The Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the needed services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

    Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Funded Operations, dated October 2015” which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

    Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Sudan local time.

    Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 05.04.2020 before 3:00 pm and mention Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (AVCDP), Feeder/Market Access Roads Design and construction supervision – Reference No.: AVCDP/SDN/AfDB/REOI / QCBS/01/2020
