Item Description:
It is anticipated that the International Criminal Court (ICC) located in The Hague, The Netherlands, will shortly be issuing a solicitation for consultancy for ECOS OTP-LSU Translation module Software Development. In this connection, the ICC is requesting expression of interest from qualified firms.
Background & Current Situation
The OTP Language Services Units provides language services to the Office of the Prosecutor, i.e. translation, transcription, revision and editing of Court documents and/or evidence.
The Electronic Court System (ECOS) is one of the core information system projects in the International Criminal Court. It is a software solution (one overall CMS – Judicial ERP system), integrated with some core applications, which supports the Court practice and enables more timely information for automation of organizational judicial functions and contributes to the case and management, decision tracking and information dissemination.
There is currently no ECOS module to electronically manage the life cycle of an OTP LSU Translation request. But it is envisaged that the current LSS Translation module could be extended to fulfil OTP LSU requirements.
Statement of Work
Provisioning of specialized consulting services to assist the International Criminal Court in the software development activities that will be used in the implementation of a centralized and holistic software solution to manage translation requests electronically within the Language Services Unit of the Office of the Prosecutor.
It is designed to serve as a reference and typically forms the basis of the agreement between the ICC and the suppliers regarding services that are going to be provided
It is envisaged that the selected vendor will assist the ICC in developing the custom solution and that the costs associated with such service will be charged as time and material in response to ICC requirements in the form of the described deliverables.
