Enhancing IFAD’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Item Description:

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking to strengthen its risk management practices and respond to evolving changes in IFAD’s financial architecture and program operations within a decentralized structure.

The Contractor will carry out the following main tasks:

1. Develop a revised Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Policy
2. Develop a Risk Appetite Framework and Risk Appetite Statements (Level 1 and Level 2) with identified Key Risk Indicators
3. Enhance the existing Corporate Risk Dashboard and Risk Register

IFAD is seeking an external Contractor with at least 5 years’ experience in delivering ERM services to clients. Experience with International Financial Institutions or United Nations organizations will be considered an asset.

Interested bidders must have completed at least one similar project in the last 3 years for an International entity. Expertise and experience in performing the tasks relating to the development of risk appetite frameworks and risk appetite statements in all four main risk areas – i.e. strategic, financial, operational, and country programme and project delivery is essential. Experience with International Financial Institutions (such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, or other IFI) or a United Nations organizations with a similar business model to IFAD will be considered an asset.
