The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their respective annexes.
The tender is divided into four lots in order to group the services requested into coherent batches corresponding to given legal fields:
Lot 1: Italian Law
Legal support and representation before all Italian jurisdictions with respect to cases brought in the context of EFSA’s activities. This may include inter alia local labour law, contract law, real estate, administrative and tax law.
Lot 2: EU Food Law
Legal support and representation before the competent jurisdictions with respect to cases brought in the context of EFSA’s activities pertaining to its core business, as defined in Article 22 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 and relevant EU legal acts.
Lot 3: EU Staff Regulation
Legal support and representation before the competent jurisdictions with respect to cases brought in the context of the implementation of the EU Staff Regulation.
Lot 4: EU Institutional law

This invitation to tender is in no way binding on the contracting authority. The contracting authority’s contractual obligation commences only when the contract with the successful tenderer is signed by both parties. Up to the signature of the contract the contracting authority may cancel the procurement procedure without tenderers being entitled to claim any compensation. Any such decision must be substantiated and tenderers notified.
