Procurement of Water Treatment Chemicals for Seven (7) Provincial Water and Sanitation Utility Companies

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared on the African Development Bank’s Website on April 7th, 2015.

The Government of Republic of Angola has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of the Institutional and Sustainability Support to Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Service Delivery Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for: Procurement of Water Treatment Chemicals for Seven (7) Provincial Water and Sanitation Utility Companies (GO15A-ISSUWSSSD/21).

The National Directorate of Water of Angola now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of A total of 869,016 kg of Aluminium sulphate, 248,322 kg of Calcium hypochlorite, 127,220 kg of High-calcium lime (Calcium hydroxide), 2,430 kg of Cationic polyacrylamides (solid) and 3,576 kg of Cationic polyacrylamides (aqueous) as per the defined technical specification for the Seven Provincial Water and Sanitation Utilities of Cunene, Cuanza Sul, Bengo, Namibe, Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte and Cabinda. The tender is being floated in 3 separate lots. Lot 1 being for Bengo & Cabinda, Lot 2 for Lunda Sul, Cuanza Sul and Lunda Norte, and Lot 3 for Namibe and Cunene. Bidders are allowed to participate and win one or more lots.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be obtained (free of charges) by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the National Directorate of Water of Angola (DNA) or the documents can be requested through the following email address: dna.adb2@gmail.com

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 11:30 A.M. (Angolan Time) on 28 July 2021 and must be accompanied by the required Bid Securing Declaration as per the format provided in the Bidding Document.

Bids shall remain valid for One Hundred Twenty (120) days after the deadline for bid submission prescribed above or any amendments thereof.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:30 A.M. (Angolan Time) on 28 July 2021, at the offices of:
