Professional Consultancy Services for design and supervision during construction of internal access roads and parking lots at the UNON Complex, Gigiri for a contract duration of 5 years

The selected firm/consortium must be fully capable of providing all services as outlined above.
Given the nature of the works, it is expected that the project manager/ lead consultant be drawn from the civil engineering discipline and a practicing civil engineering consultant registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) https://ebk.go.ke/ (or equivalent for international bidders).

Works will amongst others comprise of construction/upgrade of internal circulation roads and parking lots within UNON complex, provision of utilities, footpaths, storm water infrastructure, and street lighting. Cost effectiveness, low maintenance and environmental sustainability, together with safety and security considerations will be of prime importance in executing these works.

The work stages shall include the following, though not exhaustive are meant to act as a guide to the tasks/ activities to be performed:

• Site Appraisal/ Assessment
• Concept/ Schematic Design
• Detailed/ Design Development
• Technical/ Construction Documents
• Services during Bid/ Tender
• Services during Construction/ Hand Over & Close Out.

In addition to the above, as part of the concept/ schematic design stage services are to include options studies related to the site, scope and technical methodologies. Related to this but applicable to all work stages will be specialist environmental services, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)/ Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
