Provision of Air conditioner Maintenance

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

For its efforts to enhance solidarity between nations and reduce the difference between rich and poor states, UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965.

Request for Proposal (RFP)

UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select a supplier for the provision of LTA for Air Conditioner Maintenance and Repair Services to UNICEF and all UN Agencies in Malawi (Open to Malawi Vendors Only). The expected deliverables in for this contract shall be as follows:

• Properly functioning air conditioners.
• Attendance to faults within 24 hours from the time the fault is reported
• Supply and installation of additional parts in case of air conditioner requiring replacement of parts
• Training staff members on basic operations conducted at least once every year.

This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system. Please ensure that any files submitted as part of your Bid are not corrupt or damaged in any way. Please exercise particular caution when using compressed files. Any corrupt or damaged files may lead to your Bid being invalidated. All vendors are strongly recommended to regularly log in to the UNICEF e-submissions system to check for any deadline extensions, new clarifications, new correspondence or updated tender documents relating to this tender.
