Item Description:
The United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) has a requirement for the Provision of Catering Services, Healthy Food and Coffee Services for its Staff at the Mission Headquarters (MHQ) compound, at no cost to UNMIK.
The Contractor shall provide full Catering, Healthy Food, and Coffee Services daily from 08:00-17:00 hrs (Monday through Friday) of every week except for weekends and UN Holidays.
The contractor shall provide Catering, Healthy Food, and Coffee Services for UNMIK personnel, authorized staff, and visitors.
Services are to be provided in two locations:
- Main Restaurant located indoors providing Catering, Healthy Food, and Coffee Services and
- Coffee Corner located outdoors in the Recreation Area providing Coffee Services and snacks
The food services shall be provided according to international standards governing food quality and safety, throughout the value chain, including supply, transport, storage, preparation, presentation and serving, as well as food hygiene and service, taking into consideration the various ethnic and religious dietary requirements of UNMIK’s multicultural workforce.
The meals shall be visually appealing, nutritionally balanced, and wholesome, consisting of essential nutrients (protein, carbohydrate, fats, vitamins, and minerals). The Contractor shall accommodate special dietary requirements such as vegetarian, diabetics, halal, wheat, gluten, or nut allergies upon request.
The contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year with the option of four (4) one-year extensions at the sole discretion of the UN.
