Provision of consultancy services for building up gender sensitive nature based solutions in IFAD projects

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialised agency of the United Nations dedicated to eradicating poverty and hunger in rural areas of developing countries.

Purpose of this tender

The main goal of the “Building Up Gender Sensitive Nature Based Solutions in IFAD Projects” is to promote the implementation of Gender Sensitive Nature Based Solutions (GS NBS) in IFAD projects in the LAC region, providing support and capacity building on the implementation, as well as creating guidelines to incorporate GS NBS at both the design and implementation stage. For this purpose, a series of exercises will be developed to ensure scalability and replicability in similar contexts, resulting in three workshops (one for each LAC hub) and a manual on the implementation of gender sensitive NBS in IFAD projects in the LAC region, potentially to be applied to other areas with similar socio-economic and environmental contexts.
