Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals for Services (“RFPS”) is to establish a Long-Term Arrangement for Services (LTA-S) with a qualified Company for the provision of Public Relations Services at a global level.

The key purpose of the LTAS is the following:

1. Provide solutions in different communication/public relations/crisis communications/marketing areas through a cross-agency collaboration.
2. Help conceive and develop UNICEF’s global reputation, awareness, engagement and social mobilization campaigns.
3. Inspire and educate UNICEF on new communication trends and technologies to fill the gap in areas where the organization has limited knowledge and resource.
